Daddah à Damas
Le président du RFD, M. Ahmed Ould Daddah a été
reçu samedi 25 janvier à Damas par M. Abdullah Al Ahmar,
secrétaire Général adjoint du parti baath syrien.
Au cours de la rencontre les deux responsables ont abordé les
questions de l’heure au niveau du monde arabe et le rôle que doivent
jouer les organisations de masse face aux défis du moment Par
ailleurs, Ould Daddah a exprimé l’appréciation du fait
vis-à-vis des positions de la Syrie sous la direction de Bashar
Al Asad.
Production
industrielle : Mise aux normes des produits
nationaux
Vendredi passé, ont été ouverts à Nouakchott
les travaux de l’atelier national de formation sur la gestion de
la qualité et des normes internationales ISO 9000. Soixante participants
représentant les entreprises industrielles ont bénéficié
de cet atelier, qui se poursuivra jusqu’au 28 janvier courant,
et qui vise à approfondir les connaissances des employés
des unités industrielles nationales sur le travail productif
et la surveillance de la qualité, en vue de l’amélioration
de la production.
L’atelier qui a été organisé conjointement
par le ministère des Mines et de l’Industrie et l’Organisation
Arabe pour le Développement Industriel et Minier (OADIM), vise,
selon M. Zeïdane Ould Hmeyda, ministre de l’Industrie et des
Mines, «à sensibiliser les opérateurs économiques
en général et les industriels en particulier sur l’importance
des normes et de la normalisation et leur rôle dans la survie
et l’évolution de l’activité économique».
Tagant
: Du grillage pour Protéger les zones de culture
A l’instar des autres wilayas du pays, Le Tagant est sur le point de
réceptionner ses 25Km de grillage que Le MDRE vient de mettre
à la disposition des paysans sur l’ensemble du territoire national.
Ce programme que le ministère du développement rural et
de l’environnement vient de lancer s’inscrit dans le cadre de la protection
des zones de culture contre les prédateurs.
Au niveau du Tagant en tout cas, les modalités de distribution
de ce grillage ont déjà fait l’objet d’une réunion
tenue dans le bureau du Wali de la région M. Mohamed Kaber Ould
Khatry. Au cour de cette réunion à laquelle ont assisté,
le sénateur et le député de Tidjikja respectivement,
Saleck ould ABDEL Jelil et Ahmed Ould Dié, le maire de Nimlane
et celui de Tichitt, le Hakem de Tidjikja Mohamed Moustapha Ould Mouhamed
Vall, les chefs d’arrondissement de Rachid et celui de Lakhcheb ainsi
que quelques chefs de services opérant dans la région,
il a été convenu de mettre sur pieds, une commission qui
aurait pour mission de désigner les sites nécessiteux
et d’élaborer un rapport sur la base de ce travail ; rapport
qui sera soumis au Waly qui a en charge de procéder à
l’exécution dudit programme. Rappelons que cette commission déjà
désignée se compose des élus locaux et des autorités
administratives de l’ensemble des Moughataa de la région. L’on
doit faire remarquer toutefois, que ces 25Km de grillage risquent de
ne pas servir à grand chose ; pas en tout cas pour l’instant.
En effet, il est nécessaire de se rappeler que les zones de culture
en question ne sont pas mises en valeur à cause du déficit
pluviométrique observé au niveau de l’ensemble de la région
en particulier et sur l’étendue du territoire nationale d’une
façon générale.
C’est pourquoi, distribuer du grillage particulièrement pendant
cette année, relève pour beaucoup, d’un non sens qui ne
peut s’expliquer que par l’ignorance totale de nos décideurs
de ce qui se passe sur le terrain.
Il était beaucoup plus judicieux à la place des grillages
de mettre à la disposition de ces paysans ,des vivres dont aujourd’hui,
ils ont plus que besoin. En tout cas, les cas de malnutrition très
aigus qui ont commencé à être enregistrés
au niveau de la Moughataa de Tichitt en sont malheureusement des preuves
irréfutables.

Clôture
de la 30ème assemblée générale de l’UAPA
: D’importantes résolutions
La 30ème assemblée générale de l’Union
des Agences de Presse Arabes, ouverte le 22 janvier à Nouakchott,
a été clôturée jeudi passé par M.
Ahmed Jassem El Homor, Directeur de l’Agence de Presse du Qatar.
A la fin de la session, le Secrétaire Général de
l’Union, Docteur Farid Ayar, a souligné que plusieurs résolutions
avaient été prises par les participants, notamment le
recyclage des cadres, journalistes et techniciens des agences de presse
arabes. Ils ont procédé, par ailleurs, à l’examen
du budget de l’Union pour l’exercice de l’année
2003.
Des
potentialités agricoles certaines
La banque mondiale qui finance depuis l’année 2000 deux importants
projets agricoles en Mauritanie, le PDIAIM et le PGRNP, vient de procéder
à une évaluation sur le terrain de la phase préliminaire
de son intervention.
La délégation de la Banque mondiale conduite par M. Joseph
Baah Dwomoh, directeur du secteur rural à la Banque mondiale,
s’est rendue dans quatre régions du pays (Trarza, Brakna, Gorgol,
Assaba) où se trouve la plupart des projets financés par
le PIDIAM et le PGRNP.
L’émissaire de la Banque mondiale qui a loué les efforts
de la Mauritanie pour permettre d’accroître la production, de
diversifier et d’assurer la qualité, s’est dit également
impressionné par les potentialités agricoles du pays,
notamment au Trarza où les GDM (grands domaines de Mauritanie)
sont en train de réaliser de belles choses dans le domaine de
la diversification.
Pétrole
: Pénurie: non, spéculation:

Les automobilistes mauritaniens ont grincé les dents la semaine
dernière en se réveillant avec une augmentation de 8 UM
du gas-oil à la pompe. La surprise a été telle
d’autant que les dernières fois où le secteur des hydrocarbures
a été au devant de la scène c’était à
l’occasion de diminutions inhabituelles dans un pays où les prix
ont plutôt tendance à monter.
Dans le monde, on s’attend à ce que les prix du pétrole
baissent à partir du 01février prochain, date à
laquelle les pays producteurs, notamment ceux de l’OPEP, ont décidé
de relever leurs quotas de production de 7% à 1,5 millions de
barils par jour. En dépit des inquiétudes liées
à une éventuelle attaque américaine contre l’Irak,
le ministre du Pétrole saoudien, M. Ali al-Naimi présent
lors du sommet économique de Davos (Suisse), s’est voulu rassurant
en déclarant qu’il “n’y a aucune raison pour que les prix
soient à un tel niveau aujourd’hui”. Et le ministre d’ajouter
que “c’est de la pure spéculation”. Les pays de l’OPEP
qui souhaitent maintenir les cours de leur sélection de brut
dans une fourchette de 22-28 dollars US ne veulent donc pas être
mis en cause dans une éventuelle instabilité du marché
pétrolier.
Chez nous en tout cas, l’augmentation de la semaine dernière
ressemble fort à une habile manœuvre des distributeurs pour
se prémunir contre une chute des cours internationaux du brut.
Davos
: Un carnaval mondial
Le forum économique mondial qui se tient du 23 au 28 janvier
à Davos (Suisse) est en train de devenir la plus mauvaise image
de la mondialisation que le monde industrialisé peut donner aux
pays en développement.
Une folle semaine où des chefs d’Etats et de gouvernements (29),
des ministres (81), des chefs d’entreprises (1000) et plus de 2000 autres
invités s’adonnent à un immense carnaval qui a coûté
la rondelette somme de 16,4 millions d’euros (4,39 milliards d’ouguiyas).
Et au bout du compte, aucune initiative concrète en faveur des
pauvres de la planète.
Mauritanie-Mali
: Réunion ministérielle à
Aïoun
Une rencontre de trois jours a regroupé, à Aïoun,
capitale du Hodh El Gharbi, des délégations du Mali et
de la Mauritanie, pour examiner la coopération administrative
entre les deux pays et la matérialisation de la frontière
ainsi que des questions diverses. Cette rencontre était présidée
par MM. Kafougouna Koné, ministre malien de l’Administration
Territoriale et des Collectivités et Lemrabott Sidi Mahmoud Ould
Cheikh Ahmed, ministre de l’Intérieur, des Postes et Télécommunications.
Dans les allocutions qu’ils ont échangées, les deux ministres
ont, chacun, insisté sur la coopération exemplaire et
le climat idéal d’amitié qui existent entre les deux Etats.
Cette rencontre vise, selon Lemrabott Sidi Mahmoud, à “entretenir
et consolider ce réseau de relations multidimensionnelles que
les peuples malien et mauritanien ont eu, à travers leur histoire
séculaire, à instaurer entre eux.” Et le ministre
malien d’ajouter: “ce cadre de concertation dynamique est un forum
amical qui nous permet d’examiner de façon globale, les problèmes
inhérents à la cohabitation des populations vivant de
part et d’autre de notre frontière commune.”

: Sidi Fall Libéré
Sidi Fall ancien Directeur Général de la Ferme Mpourié,
ancien directeur de la recherche formation et vulgarisation au niveau
du MDRE qui purgeait une peine suite à un procès controversé,
a été libéré, dans la soirée du 26
janvier.
