Le
Roi Mohamed VI arrive en septembre
C’est
désormais confirmé, le Roi Mohamed VI effectuera une visite officielle
en Mauritanie le 03 septembre prochain. Durant cette visite, le souverain
Chérifien se rendra à Atar le 04 septembre puis à Nouadhibou le même
jour. A la fin de la visite officielle, le Roi Mohamed VI envisagerait
de rester quelques jours en Mauritanie afin de visiter quelque sites
et s’adonner à des activités de loisirs. Les populations d’Atar sont
déjà sur pied en vue des préparatifs pour l’accueil de l’éminent hôte.
Le wali de lAdrar a déja mis sur pied huit commissions pour la préparation
munitieuse de ce grand évènement.
Baccalauréat
2001: La baisse des niveaux influe sur les résultats
Toutes
les séries, pour lesquelles 16 954 candidats s’étaient inscrits, ont
connu la baisse du taux d’admission. Les résultats de la première
session de cette année, sont jugés parmi les plus catastrophiques
du baccalauréat mauritanien. Pour les différentes séries les résultats
suivants ont été enregistrés : Lettres Originelles : 138 admis et
220 sessionnaires ; Lettres Modernes Bilingue : 93 admis et 120 sessionnaires;
Lettres Modernes Arabes : 128 admis et 239 sessionnaires ; Sciences
Naturelles Arabes: 463 admis et 618 sessionnaires ; Mathématiques
Arabes: 163 admis et 141 sessionaires; Sciences Naturelles Bilingues
: 151 admis et 120 sessionnaires ; Technique : 14 admis et 5 sessionnaires;
Mathématique Bilingue: 29 et 15 sessionaires. Au total, 1616 candidats
ont été autorisés à subir les épreuves de la session complémentaire,
les 18 et 19 juillet prochains. Depuis 1998, la chute du taux de réussite
au baccalauréat se poursuit. En 1998, 21,61% des candidats ayant participé
à l’examen avaient décroché leur diplôme . En 1999, ce taux a chuté
de 6% pour revenir à 15,61 %. Et l’année dernière, le taux d’admission
au baccalauréat a progressé de 1,29 %, soit un taux général de 16,9
%.

Mauritanie Le nouvel Ambassadeur présente ses lettres de créances
Arrivée
à Nouakchott, le 07 juillet dernier, le nouvel ambassadeur de France
en Mauritanie SEM Jean François Thibaut a présenté ses lettres de
créances le 12 juillet. Ce qu’il est important de noter à ce sujet,
c’est la célérité avec laquelle cette cérémonie a eu lieu. Ensuite,
l’ambassadeur français était le seul à avoir présenté ses lettres
de créance ce jour là alors que d’habitude une telle cérémonie est
organisée selon un calendrier précis durant lequel trois ou quatre
accréditations sont programmées.
Cette
spécificité accordée à la France est la marque d’un retour à la normale
des relations bilatérales et lavolonté
d’ouvrir une nouvelle page dans ces relations.
Un
cambriolage Etrange
Un
cambriolage étrange a été signalé dans la nuit du 16 juillet au ministère
de la Santé et des Affaires Sociales. ” A 8 heures, j’étais devant
la porte du ministère où j’ai trouvé des policiers qui m’ont défendu
de franchir le portail. Après quelques hésitations, je leur demande
pourquoi. Ils me répondent que notre ministère a été cambriolé la
veille “, explique un responsable au ministère dont le bureau a été
minutieusement fouiné par les visiteurs nocturnes. Le cambriolage
a été très sélectif, car seules les portes des bureaux des directeurs
et des chefs de services ont été défoncées. Au ministère, on indique
qu’aucun document ou objet de valeur n’a été pris. ” Ils ont ouvert
toutes les armoires de mon bureau, ses tiroirs, mais ils n’ont rien
pris. Cet ordinateur portable et ce téléphone cellulaire que je venais
de payer n’ont même pas changé de place. Les cambrioleurs sont peut-
être alertés par la campagne de vaccination en disant qu’ils peuvent
trouver son financement dans nos bureaux”, indique le chef du personnel.
C’est la deuxième fois en deux ans que le ministère de la Santé et
des Affaires Sociales enregistre ce genre d’actes. la dernière fois,
des carnets de carburant ont été volés. Cette action intervient à
moins d’une semaine après les changements effectués à la tête de certaines
directions du ministère. Il est à noter que le ministère de la Fonction
Publique qui juxtapose celui de la santé a connu le même type de cambriolage
le mois dernier.

Le
département de l’Education Nationale semble rejoindre la catégorie
des portefeuilles peu prisés au sein de l’équipe gouvernementale.
Trois changements en moins de deux ans, qui dit mieux! Pourtant, surtout
pour les pays en voie de développement , ce ministère doit bénéficier
d’une attention et d’une stabilité particulières. L’affirmation est
d’autant plus vérifiée que notre pays est parmis les rares pays de
la sous-région à avoir consenti des financements énormes pour la réforme
du secteur de l’Education. L’instabilité qui a caractérise ces deux
dernières années le département ne peut être justifiée que par l’excès
de souci en vue de le rendre plus performant. Pour l’instant, on ne
semble pas avoir trouvé l’homme qu’il faut. La continuité représente
à elle seule un atout pour la réussite du ministère de l’Education
mais vu que les “politiques” se sont tous plantés, pourquoi ne pas
alors rappeler les techniciens à la rescousse?
